Born of Pak Wooi Auto Sdn. Bhd. at Lorong Bagan Luar 1, Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia. by founder Mr. Wong Keng Hok.

Main business at the time was import and sales of various automotive spare parts from Japanese counterpart at northen region of Malaysia.

Pak Wooi Auto Sdn. Bhd. was relocated to a bigger premise at Jalan Chain Ferry, Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia.

Sales and distribution was expended to the whole west Malaysia.

With the extraordinary vision of Mr. Wong Keng Hok to manufacture locally, First Manufacturing Facility was initiated.

First locally made Tie Rod End, Ball Joint and Rack End was born.

Installation of welding equipment and enhancement of machining technology Side Rod Assembly was rolled out of the production line.

Construction of new assembly plan was completed, manufacturing facility was relocated.

SKI Industry Sdn. Bhd. was registered as the official corperate identity which reassemble from Steering Kedah Industry. Meanwhile Pak Wooi Auto Sdn. Bhd. is remain as local trading parner of SKI Industry Sdn. Bhd.

Building was extended to accommodate the growth.

Product quality of SKI Industry Sdn. Bhd. was again recognized by approval of product liability insurance coverage of RM 1 million by Aviva Insurance Berhad over the region of Malaysia and Indonesia.

Sales and distribution network was extended to whole Malaysia with the help of improved sea port.

Distribution network was extended to Australia.

Introduction of new and advance tooling system into the manufacturing process help to speed up the process.

Information Technology of the company was further upgraded to the next level in the hope to achieve paperless office environment.

Product liability of RM 1 million was amended to cover other Asean countries.

Upgrading the welding technology to the next level to enable the introduction of Stabilizer Link into our product catalog.

The purchase of state of the art methrology equipments and setting up a more systematic Research and Development facility.

Toward ISO / TS 16949 : 2002 Certification.

Participated in first oversea exhibition. Automechanika Thailand 2006, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand.
